John Beargrease Marathon

The 26th Annual John Beargrease Sled Dog Race began at 1 pm today. We stopped by to see them start. The temperatures are in the single digits with a wind chill well below zero. A perfect temperature for the dogs to run. The mushers, with up to 14 dogs, will race 380 miles for a first prize purse of $7,500.
This well mannered Siberian huskie had piercing blue eyes.
The dogs were very excited to start the race and were very noisy barking and howling.

Indian Cuisine

Duane and I enjoy trying our hand at gourmet cooking. Tonight we cooked Indian Cuisine.
Chicken Curry, Chappati, Basmati Rice, Kachumber Salad, Fresh Herb Chutneyand Raita with a Mango Sorbet for dessert. The flavors were amazing. Not too spicy. The boys even liked it.

Colton also had vanilla ice cream for dessert.

Duane taught the boys a new game played with coins. It was amazing that they could be entertained without any electronics.

Quiet January

January has been a very quiet month for us. A bit of the after Holiday slump. I have not taken many pictures because we really haven't been doing much. This is about as exciting as it gets.

Kirk goofs around.

David plays Xbox360 LIVE

Dakota plays on his Laptop

Caesar lays around

David did join the Chess Club at the High School. The club meets every Wednesday afterschool. The first time he won some lost some, today he won most of his games.

Dakota keeps busy too. He is part of a Dungeons & Dragons Club that meets on Saturdays. He is too embarrassed to show his face.
David has been so bored, he decided that being tied up and put in the closet would be fun.

This is what we thought of David's antics. Silly Boy!
